Absentee voting begins at Cherokee County Auditor’s office

Cherokee County Auditor and Commissioner of Elections, Kris Glienke, has announced that absentee ballots for the Nov. 4, 2025, City-School Election will be available to be voted in the Cherokee County Auditor’s Office on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025.

Absentee ballots may be cast in the Cherokee County Auditor’s Office at 520 W. Main St., Cherokee, during regular office hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, through Nov. 3.

Absentee ballots must be requested in writing. Forms are available at the Auditor’s Office and at the Iowa Secretary of State’s web site at https://sos.iowa.gov/.

All requests for ballots to be mailed must be received by the Auditor’s Office by 5 p.m. Oct. 20. Voted ballots must be received by the Auditor’s Office by 8 p.m. on election day.
