Bonnie Mae Bronson (Miller), 89, of Duluth, Minn., passed away peacefully with family by her side Sunday, Aug. 17, 2025.
She was born in Sutherland to Freeman and Evelyn Miller on Dec. 15, 1935.
Bonnie was a part time policewoman in the 1970s and 80s and was also a devoted homemaker. She spent time camping, reading cookbooks and modifying recipes. She enjoyed sewing clothes for herself and kids, canning hundreds of quarts of veggies from the garden. She liked to make jams and jellies from picked fruits; she sold Avon for quite a few years and was thought of being her best customer.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; siblings: Robert, Jim and Shorty Miller; and grandson, Lucas Struve.
She is survived by her loving husband Richard; children: Michael (Teresa) Struve, Pam (John) Feldt, Paula (Mark) Goutermont, Matthew (Leanne) Struve, Richard Jr. Bronson, David Bronson and Barbara (Rollie) Geibe; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brother Ronald (Judy) Miller; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The family would like to thank Pastor Phillip Hooper, the church family and the staff at Benedictine Health Center-Marywood Apartments.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to St. John’s Free Lutheran Church, “Operation Christmas Child.”
Funeral dervice will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025, with visitation one hour prior, at St. John’s Free Lutheran Church, 3601 W. Arrowhead Rd., Duluth, MN 55811.
