It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Connie Martin, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who left us peacefully on Oct. 26, 2025, at the age of 64. Connie was surrounded at home in Sutherland by her loving family, who were a constant source of joy and strength in her life.

A Celebration of Connie’s life will take place starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2, at Kee Stirs at the V.F.W. in Cherokee. Burial will be at a later date. Greenwood-Schubert Funeral Home in Cherokee is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.greenwoodfuneral.com.

Born to Gary Lussier Sr. and Deanna Franck who raised her in Marcus before moving to Cherokee. Connie touched the lives of many with her kindness, compassion and unwavering devotion to her family. She was the loving wife of Craig Martin, with whom she shared 17 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter and a deep commitment to each other.

As a mother, Connie was everything to her children Joshua, Jessica and Kenny. She was their rock, their guide and their biggest cheerleader, always putting their needs before her own. She was immensely proud of the adults they have become, and her love for them was immeasurable.

Connie was also a cherished grandmother to Alexis, Addison, Brody, Takkiah, Mikkah, Kailyn, Matthew, Malenia, Kenna, Brayden and Conner. She took great joy in watching her grandchildren grow, and she never missed an opportunity to shower them with her love and affection and unforgettable memories.

She is survived by her siblings: Vicki and husband Sean; Monet and her husband Chris; and Kelly; along with her two brothers, Thad and Gary Lussier who were an integral part of her life. Whether near or far, Connie’s bond with them was unbreakable, and her love for her family extended to everyone she met.

Connie had a warm heart, a vibrant spirit and an infectious laugh. She was known for her generosity, her ability to listen without judgment, and the endless love she gave. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Connie’s legacy of love, kindness and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the same love and warmth she shared with all of us.
