Ronald Voog of Bridgeville, Penn., passed away on May 3, 2025.
Interment at Cherokee Memory Gardens Cemetery will take place on Saturday, July 26, at 1 p.m. Boothby Funeral Home of Cherokee is assisting the family with services. Online condolences may be left at www.boothbyfuneral.com.
Ron was born September 5, 1940, the son of Casper A. Voog and Vera E. (Johnson) Voog in Centerville, S.D. Ron graduated from Centerville Public Schools.
Ron attended Trinity College in Chicago; this is where he met the love of his life, Louise Johnson. They were married a year later in Sioux City, and were married for 59 years. They were blessed with three children: Duane, Andrea and Nancy.
Ron is survived by his three children: Duane (Brenda) Voog of Ottumwa; John (Andrea) Petersson of Bridgeville, Penn.; and Patrick (Nancy) Koval of Burlington; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; as well as a sister, JoAnn Reinholt of Costa Mesa, Calif.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife Louise; and his parents, Casper and Vera Voog.
Ron worked at Caterpillar Inc. from 1960 until retiring in 2001 from international service in Monterrey, Mexico.
During early retirement years, Ron along with his youngest daughter Nancy, visited daughter Andrea and husband John in London, England, also visiting Paris and Normandy during the trip.
Ron was a member of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas.
